Braiding Together the Golden Threads:

A Mother’s Day Family Constellations Immersion

On this Mother’s Day, we gather on the sacred land of Salt Spring Island to braid together the visible and invisible threads that shape our lives.

We came into conscious relationship first with our biological mother — the woman through whom life entered our body, whose breath once regulated ours, whose story lives in our cells, whose love, limits, wounds, strength, and destiny shaped the architecture of our sense of place on this Earth. Her heartbeat was the first rhythm we knew.

And behind her… stand the grandmothers. And behind them… the great-grandmothers.

Women who birthed in forests. Women who prayed. Women who survived wars. Women who sang to the Moon. Women who carried water. Women who carried secrets. Women who carried medicine.

And we remember the Grandmothers of many lineages — the medicine women, the shamanic grandmothers, the midwives, the herbalists, the wisdom keepers, the unseen ones who held communities together through devotion and devotion alone.

In this widening, something ancient awakens.

Yet we widen the circle further still.

We turn towards our Great Mother — the Earth beneath our feet, the soil that feeds us, the waters that cleanse us, the vast sky that shelters us.

Here, we stand between Earth and Sky. Between the mother who shaped us and the Great Mother who sustains us without condition. The rhythm that beats through seasons, tides, birth and renewal. The intelligence that moves through forests, oceans, and through the quiet pulse of our own hearts.

In this widening, something softens.

We begin to sense that mother is not only a person — but a field. A current of life flowing through generations.

Not only a biography, but a living current.

Not only what was given or withheld — but a sacred movement of receiving and giving that has been unfolding long before we arrived. An ongoing relationship with life itself: the sacred life force energy that is omnipresent. 

Between lineage and landscape. Between soil and soul.

As we stand between these two — the mother who gave us form and the Mother who gives us ground — we enter the sacred reciprocity of existence: receiving and giving, rooting and reaching, belonging and becoming.

Here, the braid becomes visible: the intimate and the infinite — woven into one continuous golden thread of life.

As we explore the sacred reciprocity of connection and partnership, we ask:
What did I receive?
What did I carry?
What was never mine to hold?
What am I ready to give back in dignity and love?
What medicine is ready to be restored through the women who came before me?
What abundance is waiting to flow when the braid is cleared?

Through Family & Systemic Constellations, embodied ritual, gentle movement and sacred space we enter the living field of ancestry. We listen to what wants to be seen. We honour what was. We restore dignity where it was lost. We release burdens that were never ours to carry.

As the threads realign, something profound happens.

Love softens.

Gratitude becomes possible.

Freedom quietly emerges.

The braid becomes golden.

This full-day immersion begins in the morning with grounding movement and an opening ritual to attune to the land, to Nature, and to the field we co-create together. Throughout the day, we work in constellation space — allowing what is ready to move to find its rightful place within the greater tapestry.

As the sun begins to lower over Salt Spring Island, we gather around the fire. In the glow of evening light and the beautiful colours of the wide-open sky, we close with a ritual of integration — weaving the day into medicine for our souls, our bodies, our relationships, our descendants, and the Earth herself.

A day of remembrance.

A day of restoration.

A day of re-weaving the Golden Thread between Mothers, Grandmothers, Earth and Self.

A day to stand in the braid of love — with love, gratitude and freedom.
